Life got busy and complicated in the last few years (to put it in the mildest terms possible)! We went
through a lot of twists and turns and have found ourselves in a happy and fun place.
Madison now has two children, Stella and Barrett. Barrett
turns 1 on March 28th and Stella turns 2 on April 5th.
Madison is a wonderful little mother, and she and the kids live with their dad,
Tyler, and his family in Somerville, about an hour outside of Memphis. As
grandparents, Andrew goes by Sandy like his grandfather, and I selected the
name Gia for myself. We have a great time! The children bring us so much joy in
so many ways. It’s so rewarding!
Andrew is steady as a rock, teaching at the same spot and
always so supportive of me. I’ve really come to realize how incredibly lucky I
am to have a partner in life like him. His capacity for caring for other people
and his integrity continue to impress me, even after all these years. I’m thankful
to get to be part of Team Saunders.
I am now the Laboratory Coordinator at the University of
Memphis for Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology labs. It’s been a lot of fun
taking on this role, especially after having four jobs for quite some time, between
my various adjunct teaching gigs and delivery driving. All that over-work and
under-employment was really tough, and it makes me all the more grateful for the
opportunity I do have.
So now that we’re all up to speed, I plan on making more
regular posts here. The fanciful pursuit continues!
